Join me on my journey of over 15,000 miles to Australia on the second Ozbus leaving the Embankment on September 23rd 2007 with 36 passengers
Two months travelling round Australia in a basic campervan
After our journey down the east coast of Oz we spent two months travelling round New Zealand by car, staying in hostels.
In 1993 we spent a month in Ecuador travelling round the country performing as part of the Festival Folklorique del Mundo (Folk Festival at the Centre of the World).
We have travelled overland twice to folk festivals in Hungary with Sheffield City Morris.
We spent a month based in Portland travelling up and down the west coast taking in Vanvouver Island in Canada and travelling as far south as Crater Lake.
Working in a college gave me six weeks in the summer to travel around Europe and our favourite country was always France, a country with beautiful variations in scenery, cuisine and traditions.
In the winter of 2018 we escaped for three months living in Puerto de la Cruz in northern Tenerife in an attempt to get away from the awful English winters.
In 2019 we once again sort warmth in the south but this time in Mojacar, Almeria Spain and surprisingly the weather was much better than the north of Tenerife.
